I mean, it’s not a PhD in football transfers. That said, there is utility in NUFC playing hardball with Isak. It sends a bad message to the other lads at the club, it strengthens a premier league rival, and you lose your best asset. Sell him to Barcelona next Summer. That is my amateur opinion.

Although it would sting to sell to Liverpool, there is an argument to be made that Liverpool will be top two regardless so strengthening them actually makes no difference to us and it would be worse to strengthen Man U, Arsenal, Chelsea or Spurs who are more likely to be our rivals for UCL spots.

Agreed. I would prefer not to sell at all. If we have to sell I would like it to be a team outside the EPL. I still worry that this creates a bad precedent for other players on the team.

Selling abroad would definitely be best but that’s not going to happen this window. Next year maybe but Isak can always refuse personal terms if he still insists on Premier League.

A lot can happen in a year. The Isak saga is almost exactly like what happened when Kane tried to force his way out of Spurs. #NUFC should follow Spurs. There is a way back for Isak this season.

Part of me thinks make him stay. It's a world cup year in 26 so he cant mope around and be pants. Also if he has a great world cup a bidding war could be in the offing.
