The costumes should win a Nobel prize.

1870s and 1910s fashions peacefully coexisting.
This kept/keeps confusing me about when it was taking place. Some dresses are just hideous, though, regardless of when it's supposed to be from. Ugly colors together with weird cuts. Out of the blue. I think the only one I've not seen in one is Marian. Definitely and most frequently the Russells.
This is the costume designer’s way of letting us know who the characters are. Those jarring colors reflect Bertha’s personality. Right before the proposal I said to my husband, something’s going on with Marian because her costume was so diff from the norm for her. I stand by my statement.
Also, the idea that they only wore subtle colors back then is false. They also didn’t paint all their houses white.
I don't want subtle colors, but some of them just clash. Or don't look great on the person they're on.
I propose to you that it’s entirely purposeful.
Each one!
I have zero interest in fashion, I dress like a slob, but I find myself pausing this show to admire beadwork.
I worked in a theater’s costume department and love fashion. It is extraordinarily well done.
OMG the costumes, yes.

Beautimas!!!
