I think it all exaggerates and validates people's biases. In particular within the article there is the mention of authors and others who, aside from some convention or gathering, interact on social media and it narrows interpretations of what is going on. Too much social media coaching.
Echo chambers. We do it ourselves by being on 'lefty' Bluesky. I'm comfortable with that though. I come here to relax, not argue pointlessly with right-wing zealots.
Yup. I use them all "wrongly" because I am mostly not here for the social interaction, such as it amounts to these days. Ergo, internet fights. 😄
