The 8 states with the highest homicide rates are all red. Mississippi leads the nation with a homicide rate of 20.5 closely followed by Louisiana at 19.9. California ranks 30th with a rate of 6.1. Massachusetts ranks 47th with a homicide rate of 2.7. @governor.ca.gov
A friend asked me to update with education levels and poverty rates to explore correlations to violence and homicide rates. The result is painful and nothing the National Guard can fix. These states also rely heavily on aid from Blue states.
Coincidentally, and far from surprisingly, these states are also ranked near the bottom in the quality of their public education systems.
Is there not more current data to update this? Seems like most big blue cities have reduced their rates even more from 2020.
Those red folks are a murderous bunch.

Not only red states, but the most evangelical Baptists in the Bible belt. Lowest economies as well. Yet, voters keep voting for republicans.

I'm no expert, thankfully! Still, fear & hate seems to be a feature of USA evangelical systems. As an outsider, it's not surprising that, these types of people are bound to politics & enablers of hate, & need to be kept away from majority public policy, i.e., amend the US constitution. #Equality 🇺🇸 ⚖️

People in blue states have, by & large, grown up with a higher quality of life. I think that is a great influence. Red states not so much. And the living conditions do not seem that great for much of their populations, leading to despair and more crime.
What about blue states sending "peace keepers" to the red states. Think the red states and the trump administration would agree to that?
