Make sure you never again run candidates like Sinema and Manchin.

There needs to be a law that doesn’t allow the switching of parties after they are elected!
How do you think primaries work?
Wow, what a thoughtful and inspired response.
How do you think they work, Jim? Please answer.
Voters pick from the candidates the party puts up. When they don't put up decent, vetted candidates or grossly favor incompetent incumbents, the "winner" will suck. We are force-fed the most mediocre, pro-corporate, old candidates they can find. Primary 2024: Biden, GardenHose, Queen of Narnia. jfc
I know, I was hoping he could demonstrate some knowledge of how primaries work as well.
Thank Crom that primaries always result in the bestest of candidates.
Which do you want? The national party picking candidates or the voters choosing from those who put themselves up?
Frankly, I never want the national party picking candidates, and thank goodness that is not what the Democratic Party does! That’s a fallacy, spreading it means you’re spreading untruth designed to undermine people’s faith in their ability to choose their leaders. Yeah, don’t do that.
Not you, Chris ☺️
That would be up to the voters. Don’t like the candidates? Good news – – you can do something about that locally. Because that’s who it’s up to, pal, all politics is still local. it’s much easier to whine about a faceless party that you want to blame, instead of working in your community.
Yes, my town always puts the US senate nominee on the statewide ballot.
And Gillibrand. And Schumer.
And Fetterman.
And Fetterman
Pretty much anyone to the right of Bernie.
So you'll want to be keeping: Warren, Hirono, Blunt Rochester, Markey, Merkley, Schatz, Van Hollen, Padilla, Smith, Booker, Gillibrand, Baldwin, & Welch? (All of whom are more progressive than Vermont Jesus, who says identify politics are a distraction and threw Planned Parenthood under the bus)
Eh I'm more lenient. I think there's not enough people who are Bernie level but if they are holding the party back like Jeffries and schumer then absolutely they get the boot. I'll settle for actual progress, unless it's too slow.
It's too slow!
I agree! Right now it is. I just think progressing at a decent pace is something I'll settle for, and if we progress really fast even better! I'm just talking about my personal standards for the democratic ( or ruptured democratic) party.
Lmao Bernie is to the right of the fantasy you have about Bernie.
Please don't. I don't need to hear about Bernie fantasies from lefties today. Or any day really 😭😭😭
🤣🤣🤣
And my fantasy is? Do tell.
Or Harris. Or Clinton. Or any other neo-lib, corporate owned POS that wants to maintain status quo, not tangibly improve life for the masses of working class. (Crumbs for a few folks here and there isn’t gonna fucking cut it)
Purity is the only way to get a majority in this country.
All we are asking for is bare minimum expectations of a moderately functioning party and government. Anything else gets us exactly where we are right now.
Sinema YES, Manchin no. Any other Dem alive would've lost 2018 West Virginia
Dems are wrongly NOT requiring pledges pro #DCstatehood from Dem 2026 US Senate candidates, so Sinema is wrongly happening again with Pappas in New Hampshire, Sage in Iowa, Flannegan in Minnesota, McMorrow in Michigan, Cooper in North Carolina, etc.
Make sure you don't vote for candidates like Sinema and Manchin in your primaries. You do vote in primaries, right?
