Not sure about “buzzkill” turning people to the fascists, but the volume of bovine feces about politicians they disapprove of is relentless and likely just turns people away from political involvement entirely. One sees this bloviating currently with attacks on Newsom. Much of it is exaggerated bs.

Newsome is in the actual game that is going on right now. He doesn’t have to be perfect, because he is being effective.

Everyone forgets that president Obama said America wasn’t ready for same-sex marriage, so he wasn’t going to push for it. Newsome is way less problematic than some of the loud progressives say he is. Yet only Newsome is bringing a gun to the TrumpubliQan gun fight. The other Democrats aren’t.
