It's great right up until the moment you realize the Navy could simply have lobbed a cruise missile into that crater and achieved the same victory with no risk of pilots' lives. IRL they've hit smaller, harder-to-hit targets under far more adverse conditions. MAVERICK's whole mission was absurd.
