what's an extraordinarily well-written 1st season of television, not just your visceral fave, but one you believe was well-written, ‐directed, and -acted. off the top, im going with Newsroom and Penny Dreadful... both had other outstanding seasons, but the 1st for both were top tier.

Just started season 2 the other night!
i started when it first dropped, but it felt off (as nearly 97% of all season 2 shows do for me these days) — & have yet to get past the credits of episode 2.
Definitely have experienced that with several shows. Fleabag & Russian Doll to name a couple...

i recall liking ths show, but only watched the first 3 or 4 seasons and never finished it. ive never rewatched any of if but might have to do so soon.

i havent watched any of it yet... my street-smart, conspiracy-theory-prone stepson loved it...
Something must have hit the tik-toks because I only had DA on the brain because my 20-year-old brother is watching that and The Wire simultaneously and wanted to know which I liked better because he’s loving both!

i loved pushing up daisies... and was thinking about sanford & son, good times, all in the family, alice, one day at a time... & of course, mash. barney miller! i never watched st. elsewhere... or hill street blues (tho my parents watched them)
