A good way to increase international tourism outside of the United States right now is to discount Americans to travel abroad. We will gladly leave.

And who would gladly have us?
There have been more American tourists this year than any I've seen. It's... irritating TBH. I'm sure some are lovely, but boy are the ones I've seen rude, arrogant, and so, so loud.
I’m sorry you’re facing that. As an American I’ve met a lot of rude Americans while traveling overseas. Not all appreciate that things are different in other countries but to me the whole purpose is experiencing different culture, lifestyle, and history.
I feel the same with British football hooligans, and the folks that go to Ibiza etc. It's mortifying - demanding English breakfasts etc. The ones that I've seen this year don't get that this isn't the US. No, bread isn't free, the tip is added anyway, and the plumbing is older than the US!
I guess the nice ones will put a Canadian flag on their backpack like in the 60s.
They think we can't tell, but then again the fact they're desperate to not seem American wins my vote!
