I think Gov Pritzker is a solid choice. He’s an actual billionaire and is not afraid of Trump. He is a really good governor. Illinois’s credit rating has been raised 9 times since he’s been governor. He has done good stuff for the people.

My family was very Republican too. My dad & my brother, rabidly so. NRA guns brain mentality. Thankfully, my dad hated chump & didn’t vote for him in the first occupation & he passed during it. My brother though, is still as rabid as they get. We don’t talk anymore. I went to college & fog lifted.

One thing I thought was cool when I was in school is the Dems actually sent ppl into the school Am History & civics classes to talk to us. Rs didn’t bother. That made a positive impression on me. I still remember it 40 years later.
