Fox plays a part. Wouldn’t say it’s more loyalty to this particular commander in chief. 4 day passes had to be used entice service members to stand in crowds for him during his first reign of terror.
I didn't realize that. I did note most of those participating in Trump's parade looked sullen, and like they didn't want to be there.
They had to stand for hours waiting for his arrival, secure area lockdown no water. A commander in chief shouldn’t be that concerned when visiting the troops. Compare to Bush who flew into war zones and served meals to the troops. At least he showed up, frequently. It does mean a lot.
Both sides can harbor a lot of hate towards us. Each side expects something different from us. Most are disabled, middle class at best still likely working. Many in civil service trying to quietly continue the mission amongst the chaos.
And they're very likely to have relatives who have been affected by DOGE cuts (or will be affected). When nan's nursing home closes, they'll definitely notice that.
Yes or as I mentioned still federally employed civil servants. Nothing to gain by walking away from that. When it’s time to fight, I’ll fight, I’ll be there shoulder to shoulder, but I don’t have it to be out in protest every day for a year prior to the fight. Saving what I got left in the tank.
I expect when things get worse they will grow louder and when needed again put themselves in harms way. Most have had enough fighting enough war, enough hate, anger, loss, enough ugliness. They aren’t going to go seek it out.
I try to dispel misinformation regarding veterans and the VA. Try to assure people we are still here, because we are. Yet understand how it feels when somehow we are expected to sacrifice more, again, with our already broken bodies. Many of us in constant pain aged well beyond our years.

Calling Hegseth malevolent is being too kind! I’m thankful my dad isn’t still alive to see what’s happening to the military he so valiantly served for 30 years.
It’s has been over a year and we have not seen the results of an investigation into his assassination attempt. They are not conspiracy theories until they debunked. Right now, they are just theories.
