And also, shouldn’t he be buying American planes? Since he wants us to be “great” again?

We already have 2 747-8's being fit out for AF1 use. This one will be a third and it'll have to be fit out as well and cost millions of dollars.
Well, it's a used 747 so technically it is an American plane
Ok well, that's at least a bit of good news. I'm relieved to hear it's a Boeing. Given their post-Seattle record, with some luck maybe we can just wish him bon voyage on his hopefully long & very frequent flights! As a BusinessMan and president, constant air travel w/ thousands of miles is expected.
I was a road warrior for decades and I managed to do just fine flying commercial. Sometimes in coach! Oh the horrors. And you expect taxpayers to pay to make his dream plane secure while we're still paying for a new AF 1 too? No. Absolutely not.
Let me know if that is still too abstruse and I'll clarify further. Don't want to give the impression that I don't believe in the existence and pertinence of the Emoluments Clause, or ethics laws and regulations, or value the actual words of the actual Constitution—that's not me, that's SCOTUS.
No /s; sorry. Boeing's "post-Seattle" (Chicago HQ since 2000 after '97 MD merger) "track record"—cutting corners & worker training, pivoting from prioritizing engineering to shareholder profit, and its safety : 737-MAX, shedding parts midair, ground crew issues, etc—has seen a lot of farm buying.
I see what you did there...
