sounds like a confession 🤔😂
Jason is doing God's work.
I used to be a high school custodian. There was one kid in one of the "special ed" class rooms that had a tendency to write on his desk. Ball point pen and some markers are but a minor nuisance. A light spray with graffiti remover, let it sit a minute while you vacuum, and it wipes right off. 🤷♂️
Custodial staff know students best and can help support students of alcoholic parents. 1 of 5 students today have an alcoholic parent nacoa.org/support-for-... My wife, Dr. Toni Bellon, EdD, became a teacher to help children tonibellon.com Her story nacoa.org.uk/learning-to-...
I worked the night shift. I didn't get to know any of the students. I barely had much time to talk to the teachers. They were usually gone within a half hour of starting my shift. I don't think the 1st shift custodians got to know students, either. It's not an encouraged interaction.
I read a couple of posts on Custodians. One was selected as a commencement speaker for being most admired; one was immortalized on a school mural by students after his passing
Yeah. The true problems were the kids that somehow snuck a pocketknife into class to etch their graffiti.
Never had that problem. But then it wouldn't have mattered much. They were in the process of building a new high school at the time, and most of the building we were in was scheduled to be knocked down. It was 100+ years old, but now it's a mostly empty lot.
