When I served in the Navy a few decades ago there was something I remember about not obeying an illegal order. What Felon 47 is doing with the National Guard is illegal. I know he’s got GOP governors aiding him - it’s still not legal. This is a prelude to him declaring martial law.

Participation crosses the line and honestly deployment at this point where he openly states non-existent lawlessness makes it political, retribution for a state exercising its rights. He is not going to declare anything. martial law is kinda already happening. This is not a lawful president as evidenced by...almost everything he has every done. Courts, DOJ, Congress are all in because they think he won't turn on them. He will. He is everything we teach our children NOT to be.

Why would he "declare" anything? He's doing just fine without an official declaration, and people can pretend things aren't so bad.
You also took an oath to obey the orders of the president and the officers appointed over you. I know; I took it, too. Failure to follow an order can result in a court-martial. The point is to make disobedience in the military difficult. It relies on moral leaders. That is today's conundrum.

One of the nurses at my local hospital in rural Garberville, CA, is a Guardsman, and they're deploying him down to "guard the border". His fiancee is Mexican. Our small, rural hospital is the only E.R. for 50 miles in either direction,and can ill afford to lose any providers.
You are absolutely right, but he has declared a curfew, so he might be able to have martial law without the declaration. That is certainly where he is headed. The MAGA GOP CONGRESS are too afraid of his thugs to do their job and protect the Constitution.
