Not surprising. A third of Americans believe immigrants “poison the blood of the country.” In order to think that, you have to believe that some blood is superior to others, and that mixing blood is evil.

This is why Black, Jewish, and queer folks were so adamant on voting. These beliefs have always been here, they’re only being revealed bc they’ve received the signal that they won’t be punished for it.

For Wilmington, Black folks relatively flourished and were elected to positions of power. All it took was a stolen election for the white supremacists to go full mask off, under the false pretence that they were the majority.
