To see the lie. The poverty line & the federal minimum wage is so low you can’t afford a place to live. If you need to be mad at someone, take it out on the corporations that rake in billions in profits, yet fail to pay workers a living wage. The people who receive benefits NEED them to survive. +

and you think because there are people that cannot afford insurance, or even get offered insurance through there jobs, are undocumented so they can’t even demand minimum wage, work at jobs that US people won’t do, and desperately cling to the hope for a better day -THESE people are the problem?

California may have benefits beyond what is the Federal standard. I have only worked in two states. Federally funded benefits are for citizens, permanent residents & refugees. This includes Medicaid, SNAP, & child care. I don’t know about housing. Birth right citizens can get benefits.
