I just don't get why this is a DOT priority over fatigued drivers. I don't think there are stats because it's not a major factor in semi truck collisions. They're scapegoating people for this language now. I'll never understand the desperation to blame Mexicans for everything.
And fatigued driving, is not much of an issue anymore, with the advent of the Electronic Logs. I get more rest now, than at anytime under paper logs. Some companies push it, especially when there's a Republiclown administration. It's hard to get around the ELD though. The truck moves, ELD registers.
I am not singling out Mexicans, or anyone from SA. I've said more than once, I don't care where in the world a driver is from. Know enough English to keep yourself from hurting others. If I went to Europe to work, I would do my very best to learn the language to understand the basics.
