Yeah, it's funny that I hadn't seen that before, but ran into a bunch of articles when I was looking for the removal provision. I don't think Powell even controls that kind of spending though (Trump will claim whatever he wants, of course)

Yeah. And the question won’t be “is the pretense for firing so compelling that the firing is legal”, it’s “is the pretense so flimsy that the Supreme Court would allow a stay on the firing to remain in place while it’s litigated.”
