@dmokreis.bsky.social NH’s default provider rates are going to be cheaper that community power starting in august because they didn’t factor in underpayment. What’s going on with that? I argued for my town to adopt community power with the understanding it would always be equal or cheaper!

Those are questions to ask the Community Power Coalition of New Hampshire. I never claimed that at any given juncture municipal aggregation would always be cheaper than the utilities. Then, as now, I believe aggregation is great in the long run.

I think you misunderstood- I was asking how eversource and co could lower their rates by disregarding underpayments. I don’t really understand how they set rates at a technical level, but it seems unsustainable to just decide not to replace unpaid bills?

Maybe this isn't the best medium for such a conversation. I dont know what you mean by "decide not to replace unpaid bills." Also, Eversource isn't lowering any of its rates.
