I can't shake the feeling that he's just laying low because he's planning something awful. I remain unconvinced that he's at death's door because we haven't seen him. It's certainly possible, but every other time we thought something was wrong and we though he was at death's door he wasn't.

Which is why he needs the distraction of an invasion into Chicago or some other egregious move. A judge stopped the shipping of children to Venezuela which would've been a distraction, we'll see what else he comes up with. Something's coming, he's never quiet for no reason.
Either a serious health issue or something egregious or one is being used to hide the hide the other. The two aren't necessarily mutually exclusive. Distract from health issues and press conference with something else even more monstrous. Seems like that would be just his style.
