SIGHTED PEOPLE What do you see when you're in mostly darkness and you look in the mirror? I occasionally hear it referenced as something really scary looking, but I only see a reflection of myself in low light. Basically exactly what I'd expect to see. What are y'all seeing? 👀

I see myself in the dark. I get more scared walking through my house in dark and seeing a object and not being sure is it's my clothes, Daisy, or an unknown entity.

once while staying up late I saw a throw on the couch and for a brief second I thought it was the dog's skin, removed from his body

depends on my state of mind. if I'm in a spooky headspace I look spooky. if not, I just can't see much detail.

demonic. like my brain fills in the details to make me look like I'm snarling; my facial expression curls up in a way you might draw a character to show that they're evil

distended, as well. what I see isn't something my face could actually do.

.... Is that normal? Like, my mind's eye fills in the details in the light, but usually based on memory and deduction so even when I'm seeing the wrong thing, I'm correct enough for it to not matter. Sighted people really get free home mirror horror???

normal as far as I know. could it be that our brains are filling in the detail differently? I'm sighted so I'm not so practised at filling in the details; but maybe when you're filling in the gaps in the dark image it's just an extension of something your brain does usually?

Yeah like I'm normal in this one extremely uncommon and useless way 😂
