Any other hummingbird feeders dealing with bee swarms at their feeders this year? I've been feeding hummers 4 years now, this is the first it's been an issue. How are you handling? I have 2 feeders out front, the one on front porch has no bees, the one in the yard as a cpl but manageable. 1/

However the feeder in the back is completely covered in them. A shockingly large amt. I moved the feeder to the side of my house last night. Sane thing this am but worse. There's minimal shade in my backyard bit going to try moving near a bush so in semi shade..

You are correct in trying to keep it in the shade. Other possible solutions... wipe feeder down with vinegar, or put out a diversion, a dish of water with twice the sugar concentration in a separate spot a safe distance away.

Interesting re the vinegar. I will try that thank u. I wash the feeders w ACV but don't wipe the outside down w it. I thought abt a sugar distraction too but idw them to drown on a bowl. Was thinking of a flatter saucer so they can crawl out..
