Mine is Jay Obernolte, smug asshole who was recently booed and mocked. Of course he voted to gut his constituents.

Incidentally I agree that this rep is probably looking for a reason to vote yes and will accept almost anything that cuts Medicaid but lets her claim it's not a cut -- "work requirements" is probably the most likely out for them. But they know passing this thing is political suicide.
"Work requirement" is actually "onerous paperwork requirement for sick people who need healthcare" and she should not be allowed to skate on that issue. Hopefully actual constituents can educate her on the work requirement.
What work? The Regime is throwing the country into a severe recession and pushing AI, which will destroy jobs like PacMan eating ghosts.
Share the contact info or at least your Reps name!
I wonder if they will expect my friend’s adult Down syndrome daughter to get a full time job. I don’t think that’s a good policy, or even really possible.
MAGA wants to return to the days when such were forced into horrific state-run institutions. So they don’t “upset the public.”
Okay work requirements….I need Katie Porters white board here but… 7.25x2080hrs (40hrs times 52wks)is 15,089.00yrly or 1256.66 monthly no overtime Single person Snap gross max monthly income is 1580.00. Medicaid Max again single person…let’s use Tennessee is 1783.00 a month. So a person making Fed
Minimum wage already qualifies for Snap and Medicaid. So where are the savings with work requirements? And, yes I’m aware that it varies from state to state based on their minimum wage….plus “..64% of Medicaid recipients work, & of those, 44% work PT and 64% work FT. For SNAP recipients, 70% of
adult wage earners work FT” Perhaps raising the Fed Minimum Wage would be more cost effective.
People need to keep up the pressure so that work requirements are toxic, too.
You can't cut what they say they want to cut with just work requirements either. So. If anyone needs a point to make to them
So true - so it's obvious that it's not about "the money". It's about kicking ppl off Medicaid.
The imaginary people they think are wasting it. Not anyone they personally know
They are going to FO pretty soon
Those damned four-year-olds keep skirting the work requirement.
Yeah….and those 75 year old grandmas too
There's so much wrong with work requirements. They never save the state money. They only serve to tie ppl up in red tape and drive down the Medicaid roles that way. So, they work if you want to kick ppl off Medicaid but they don't make it more efficient.
I organize around this issue in PA. We have heard from tons of people that they don't work to have Medicaid - they have Medicaid so they can work. That's the bottom line. It's harmful to the economy to deny people access to healthcare.
Who do you organize with? I work for @redwineblueusa.bsky.social in the TroubleNation division helping people form dnd sustain grassroots groups where they live.
I’m in PA. PA Health Access Network 🙂
Red Wine & Blue had a big presence in PA! Let me know if you want to connect to any of our organizing team.
It might be life or death for those on Medicaid.
The problem R’s in congress have with the Trump approach is he makes it easier to figure out what is being done. Make no mistake R’s don’t like Medicaid. Remember the R states that didn’t take the Medicaid expansion from the ACA - even though it led to the collapse of hospitals in rural areas.
Yada yada yada.....🥱! Leave it to 'Thuglicans to lie and attempt brainwashing regarding their own legislation, & claim they'll vote "Nay" on anything seeming to conflict with their constituents. The android, cult-following populace needs to wake up, freethink, & realize they have been had.
Young Kim?
You mean missing Young Kim. Hasn’t done anything for our district but quick to vote yes to anything Trump says
.... okay?
“Will not get my vote”. And then they cave. It gets old
Who is this?
Young Kim CA-40
You actually got something from her? I’ve been calling numerous times and spoke to her staffers. Nothing
I think I got it because I'm signed up for her email list.
Ok, that makes sense. My husband was a Republican but switched to Independent. He still gets mail from Trump. I’m a Democrat. So I wouldn’t get anything though I did join @canyondems.bsky.social and supported them at rallies. Plus, been using 5 calls app & calling her office 2-4xs a week
So ask her if she'll promise to resign if she votes for anything that cuts money to the states for Medicaid.
I told her staffer she should step down if she can’t do her job and let someone take her place.
Seriously? Nope, she’s sure to vote yes.
Thanks. I've been thinking that the pressure is on the NY GOP (where I am) and the CA GOP.
Maybe taxes instead of tax breaks for the extreme wealthy could put us on the right fiscal course and provide more programs and protections for the communal good. Anyway this lady is complicit even if she withholds her vote next round. What a joke
Charlie Brown’s teacher say what?
Just another chickenshit conman trying to placate the smooth brains who voted for him. Republican voters will literally eat any shit spewed our by their side. If you collected every Republican on Medicaid right now and asked them who they would vote for, they wouldn't change a thing.
republican voters only punish electeds that aren’t cruel enough. it never goes the other way.
Be cool if they’d vote no then.
He should be!
I believe this as far as I can throw the internet.
Save this to compare to their final vote. Haunt your congress person with their own words!
Tell your Rep that impeachment will solve this problem, and a whole lot more, too.
Republicans think that we are dumber than door knobs. Medicaid and Food Stamps will definitely be CUT.
He will still vote for the bill. That is how the operate. Vote to take away benefits and then blame democrats for doing it and say they are against it. And their supporter eat it up.
I'm happy for you, fr. Sounds like you can call and complain and have a chance to help sink this disaster
Every word out of the white jesus womyn killing tax avoidant misogynistic xenophobic bigoted racist gun & fetus worshipping repugnicunts' mouths are bad faith lies meant to: Deflect. Distract. Deceive. Project. Whitewash. Rinse. Repeat.
Stupid whites voting against their own self interest due to their ignorance of the world from swimming 🏊♂️ inside the fetid sewer of the Monarchist's Nativist Mick FauxNews Murdoch Silo Disinformation Propaganda Network means they get the government that Leonard Leo & the Koch whores bought & wrought.
Nick LaLota from NYCD 1 sent out something along the same lines
‘Vital Medicaid services.’ Perhaps he could expand on what the non vital services are. I don’t trust this kind of mealy mouthed bs.
They are using budget reconciliation and each agency must make a certain $ amount in cuts. This way they can say the agency made the choice of what to cut not us.
I call bullshit ya republican coward
They are screwedETTD
Watch what they do and not what they say. The vote went through tonight. It could again.
"constructive debate on the importance of these programs"??? wtaf?
Who is it? Share his contact info?
Eff them all.
I hope they’re shitting themselves in fear.
but it got your vote asshole ...
So this is basically just a delay to the passage. Republicans don't have the backbone to stand up to Trump.
Oh her! She already knows … that will not go over well in her district! There’s only about 8 or 9 R’s in the House from California. Be nice to flip that seat!
Still, their aim is to cut Medicaid. And that's even though Trump just last week said it's off limits (which was about as trustworthy as his saying "I know nothing about Project 2025 ")
Since there won't be any more elections, it doesn't matter to the Republicans if their constituents are upset about the Medicaid cuts. They can't be voted out.
Shook enough to take a stand? Or just lip-sinking DRumps fueher demands.
Republicans, bless their generous souls, are not interested in cutting back money to oil and gas, big tech, big agri-business, other 4profit companies that cut services to the public while doing stock buy backs. Find their trillion or more from funky defense contracts where equipment doesn't work.
Low hanging fruit. The minuscule “savings” when they gut Medicaid/SNAP will be 1/10 of 1% of the total budget. They will cut all the safety net programs because they’ve hated them from their beginning. The only thing that makes me happy is knowing that millions of MAGAts will be affected by the cuts.
When I look at what cities and states have been doing with the US Supreme Court to criminalize the homeless, I am less happy with the overall plan to cut safety net programs. This move has the marks of forced labor without actual housing so it's a perpetual cycle. No silver lining here.
Here’s someone who explains it: bsky.app/profile/bbko...
Doubling down on the lying has worked in the past. Probably works again.
They believe they are preserving their positions of prestige and power yet it is truly mass suicide since the day will come when they are no longer needed.
Well this all sounds good, but they're voting for legislation that will disenfranchise everyone and everything.
British would call this a load of old codger's wallop (codswallop)... yes they are going to gut Medicaid.
They're not shook. This is cover to cut Medicaid. They keep specifying that there are "essential"pieces of it so they can been the cuts nonessential.
There's that freaking word "concerns" again. The "moderate" GOP are always "concerned" about their batshit colleagues' actions, and then they go ahead and sign on to the shittiest imaginable things anyway. Like, seriously -- how do they sleep at night?
who is your rep?
bsky.app/profile/dmnd...
thanks
A majority of people in this country are shook. As a healthcare professional for nearly 50 years, I fully understand how important it is to keep Medicaid and Medicare fully funded. It is the responsibilty of every representative to work for the peope they represent. You took an oath!
Are we absolutely sure they are shook because they voted like they're not, and this isn't a very convincing backpedal
I expect this rep to vote yes on whatever the final result is and then get blown the f out in 2026
define "vital"
The fact that these things are even on the table and open for debate is horrible enough.
God "this allows Congress to have constructive debates on the importance of these programs" is so f'cking funny, good luck with that
Must be nice to get anything from a rep. The red state garbage we have representing us in Indiana literally hide for 20 months and then make a few ultra targeted appearances (fundraising, obviously) before reelection. And the rubes are too stupid to ever question them.
They are lying
They are gutless wonders, who will say what they think needs to be said and then lose their spine and do what they are told. Most pathetic abdication of duty and weakness. May god save their souls because history certainly won’t.
Let me be clear. I know this is a budget resolution, a plan for the actual budget. I know there are no line by line specific cuts to Medicaid or SNAP programs. I know that there are mandated cuts ( $800B and $230B) to the committees that oversee these programs. Energy and Commerce and Ag respective
Narrator: She will vote for whatever the GOP puts out without complaint.
So doubling down on lying to constituents. This was a 4 trillion dollar tax cut to billionaires while raising the debt ceiling and cutting all services to citizens/voters/taxpayers. Shameful
What I want to know is why you believe anything that any Republican ever says.
Q: How can you tell when a Republican is lying? A: Their mouth is moving.
Rattle the cage harder.
GOP lesson of how to lie to people, straight to their face.
Uh huh. No matter what he’s saying now, he’ll fold when the time comes.
He’s a compulsive liar, if you believe anyone of this spineless people, then I have the Golden Gate Bridge on sale for you to buy.
Shook, freaked, worried...it won't matter. Their constituents aren't who they are serving. This will all pass without incident and now in the senate.
The god king will make them jump off the cliff for him and they’ll convince themselves they’ll survive the fallout.
Yup.
We WERE on the right fiscal track and the best use of taxpayer money isn't by giving it to rich people.
Just intent, and that's enough.
So who is it? Important to say.
bsky.app/profile/dmnd...
Write and call their office. Get everyone you know to do the same. Put pressure on them. Tell them you will vote against them and donate to whoever runs against them if this bill passes. They need to know that it is not just if they vote for it, it’s if it passes.
Republicans cannot be trusted. That wasn't always the case, but it is now. Trump republicans are not actual republicans. As an independent.. I could say I wouldn't trust them for a second to be.
Can this representative be trusted? Republicans have a propensity for expressing concerns about many things but they virtually always end up voting for them in the end. Lying is #1 in the GOP.
Interesting. Seems like a GOP win from the way CNN is reporting it. For what that’s worth
What it DOES do is force the committees who oversee Medicaid and SNAP to cut billions of $$ from THEIR budgets. So the GOP reps voting for this are either too stupid to know that is what the bill says or they are blatantly doing a shell game and lying to you.
www.americanprogress.org/article/the-...
Blah blah blah. In the end he’ll bow down.
Not shook enough. Let's shake 'em up even more. Let's shake them up until they can hear their teeth clattering. Then shake them some more.
Hey everyone! We need to keep up the pressure! Call your reps and urge them to protect Medicaid, SNAP, etc!
If your representative was at all concerned about cuts to Medicaid and Medicare, they would not have voted for the "framework". It's just that simple. He/she is afraid of getting "primaried"and losing her/his position, just like all of the other GOP reps making this same argument. It's cowardice.
Get the pressure on! This rep knows they are toast if it passes but cannot get the grit to vote no. Call daily. Tell everyone in your district
I don't believe one word of this, they'll cave in the end
Not enough!
Did district republican make it clear to his lord & master ?!
Your purple district must have local taxes above the cap. MY blue one sure does.
I’d take that about as seriously as expecting John Mulaney’s second rehab to stick.
inb4 they proceed to hairsplit between "vital" and "non-vital" Medicaid services.
But, we can read… we know what you’re doing…. Bye bye assistance
What's hilarious to me is that they are admitting the additional '2 trillion' in cuts is just a smoke screen. Running up the debt to give the top 1% cuts.
"Congress having constructive debates" Horsefeathers. If it's on the table, it's part of the meal. They have been salivating over cutting Medicare and Medicaid for decades, now they will finally do it for tax cuts for billionaires. Reagan would be so happy to see this. Trickle down, amirite?
A Brit? What’s the general consensus in the UK on our regime?
nice
Congress having “constructive debates”? That is the funniest thing I’ve heard in a long, long time.
All these heartless Nazi s shoukd be shook. To their evil core
Hope you write or call him and tell him “talk is cheap” and to put words into action!
This is the party line. Rep Gabe Evans is saying exactly the same nonsense.
Yep. Except mathematically it very much specifies cuts — deep cuts. Math so simple a 4th grader could figure it out. Evans doesn’t think his voters are smarter than a 4th grader. 🤨
GOOD!
