nothing to write home about on the photo front, but it was a fun and exciting challenge to take photos of these giant animals. Seeing them it's like yes this animal must be huge, but also, it makes moving through the water seem way too easy.

I am pretty sure that first dorsal photo is from the moment our boat had been sitting still watching Scuba and Nike for around twenty minutes and suddenly Dalmatian and Malachite surfaced maybe ten feet behind us, shocking everybody. It was so incredible!!!

Oohhhh, where was this? This year I got to watch humpbacks off Hawaii in February and off Newport Beach in June. Some of the most fun whales to watch!

alo it was so cute that we saw this whale do this "snaking" behaviour once and the operators were like "aha that's dalmatian, he's the only one up here who does that". it was so cute how right away they were like "oh yeah that's our local freak" lol
