Seriously the Riverwalk in San Antonio is so walkable and foot traffic heavy and it’s filled with tourist destinations and sites! In Texas of all places!!

Downtown as whole has gotten significantly better than it was a decade ago. Unfortunately the rest of the city is still really horribly hostile to walking

And they're making moves to improve things even now. Alamo Plaza is MUCH better than it was 5 years ago and they've still got a lot of stuff to finish.

The Riverwalk is incredible. I tell people about it all the time and how I was so surprised by it, and San Antonio in general.
