I also did it once except it was a hot water pipe and it was not a whole country, it was my shower. However the plumber had me swear I would never attempt any type of plumbing whatsoever for the rest of my life. Truth. I have a witness.

I also did it once except it was an electric line and it was not a whole country, it was the main feed to my own house. However the man from the electric board shouted at me like I was an unruly child and my wife told me I wasn't allowed the spade any more in case I kill myself. No fun!
