There seems to be a particular class of politician that has rested on their laurels and haven't actually been serving their constituents in years.

It’s the class of wealth. 2% tax on all wealth over $10 million #WealthTax #TaxWealthNotWork
They're all a bit too comfortable with the system staying the way it is!
Time to look to Europe for pointers on how to make ultra rich supremacist dictators uncomfortable?

JB Pritzger has been a great governor and put lots of his money on the line for Illinois. The system needs to change but don’t brand all people the same. There are plenty of evil non billionaires supporting this administration.
I’d like to think some of the blues on this infographic like JB Pritzer would support, introduce and vote for bills that tax their own wealth more. Pretty sure we can check their voting history to see, right? A 2% wealth tax on Pritzer would raise $68million
Sure, doesn't mean he shouldn't be taxed like the billionaire he is
J.B. Pritzker paid $4.7MILLION in federal income taxes for one year. He's not the problem.
He earns £170 million passive income from that amount of wealth minimum.
If you tax the wealth this infographic claims he has at just 2% you would raise $68 million from him alone. He’s earning minimum 5% passive income from his wealth.
Absolutely, and it needs to happen. For all the rich, including politicians. I'm just saying, I believe he would support that change.
I hope so 💜 That’s what the whole world needs. Rich people saying TAX ME MORE. Like @garyseconomics.bsky.social He’s also a multimillionaire calling for higher taxes on himself and other people like him. Because most of his friends and family aren’t rich like him.
That was 2023, today is much worse
Polis hasn't been a bad governor. I agree that he should increase taxes on the rich, and that he isn't quite as good as his predecessor, but he's a good governor overall.

I wasn't aware of this, I moved out of Colorado a while ago. That's effin disgusting.
I didn’t know much about his personal opinion on taxes until you said either. I just assumed the blues were calling for themselves to be taxed more, too. But nope. I just searched his name and “on taxes” and found sooo much bad. He didn’t pay ANY income tax for a number of years at one point.
Is he, though? www.cpr.org/2021/11/04/i... Why does a man with that much money need to work at all, let alone in politics which doesn’t pay very much in comparison to his passive income, let alone anything else he earns?
