It really feels like we felt the rest of the world just couldn’t function without the US and now the rest of the world is telling us they never really needed us. That American Exceptionalism sure is impressive.

We can do it, it's just going to take time to adjust. The USA has literally molded the world into what it is since WWII, just randomly abandoning that is kinda throwing people off a bit

They’re realizing the mold was flawed because we literally will burn ourselves to the ground rather than evolve the model of freedom and equality.

A lot of people have known for a long time that this system is not ideal, but there's really not much you can do when your entire economy could be destroyed by one country taking economic action against you.

So you just kind of do your best to stay in the rules and hope for the best, now there are maybe some options, but it depends who fills the power vacuum the US has created.
