My sister-in-law just was told by her doctor and provider that she couldn’t get her 1 yo a covid vaccine due to the guidelines. This is in California. While I hope most clinicians are rejecting them, a lot of folks are being impacted regardless.

Your state requires it, unfortunately & I just checked. She could try another nearby state to see if they have are also mandated to follow CDC and HHS guidelines.
I mean, does the child have any underlying health issues? Like ANY.
Not that I know of. I feel like being a 1yo should be enough to qualify for a safe and effective vaccine. But HHS no longer believes any vaccine is safe and effective, we’re all doomed.
It depends on the state if they're mandating laws connected to the CDC and/or HHS. I do know more and more states are setting up laws to make it more mandatory to follow the guidelines of the clinician's board that gives them the credentials to specialize in their field. Hopefully, Cali will do this
The assumption has been that the career civil servants in government would be doing the right thing. This is why I called DOGE a coup. They’ve purged the government of those folks and replaced them with confederate eugenicists. I will never forgive them.
Unless, it's in the California statutes they are mandated to follow CDC and HHS guidelines.
Those are guidelines. The doctor isn't obligated to follow them. She needs to find another provider asap.
