I agree with Third Way in theory. We've developed our own language not to communicate with regular people, but to telegraph we're part of the in-crowd, the same way MAGA has. At least MAGA lexicon is based in plain English. We just come off as tight-asses and scolds.

As an autistic person I just also find plain language easier and PC jargon challenging to keep up with. But I don't think cisgender is bad bc it's scientific, most of the words listed aren't objectionable to me.

I don't find them objectionable either, Rachael. But to most regular people we might as well be speaking Yiddish. If we want to connect with everyday voters, we have to speak their language, not insist that they speak ours.

Yeah and it's something Reps as good and effective at. Using simple language that meets people where they are, instead of trying to sound "proper".

I think 'cisgender' is only bad if you have bought into the lie that it's a slur. It's not, it's scientific and uses the same Latin roots as other scientific words. It simply means 'not trans'.
