Nobody's mentioned Your Highness here yet
#honorableexception #WearTheTrophy
Probably because it's not from the 80s.
oh I know, I was just shit stirring
I've actually never seen it though... Would I regret it? Trailer suggests yes xD
it's pretty lowbrow but a more accurate onscreen representation of a typical RPG than most APs, in my experience...
What would YOU do with the Minotaur you’ve just killed?
I'm just disappointed that you guys had not one but *two* dead the other week without any suggestion of matching earrings
Sőlvtann doesn’t think they would go well with his silver tooth.
Dragonslayer is brilliant. Oft-overlooked classic with very good practical effects.
gold standard dragon, that. Tippett at his very best.
Amazing work on that dragon. Wasn't it one of the films that really got Go Motion nailed? The only downside to that film is watching it now and going "Thats the bloke out of Ally McBeal"
Go-Motion ftw, yeah
Theres a big chunk about making the puppet in one of my ILM books. I remember just staring at the photos and studying every single detail of the model.
Which one and do you have a scanner?
This one, plus the second book. I still have loads of books and magazines on VFX from my time in uni.
got both of these too
Some of the best content about model making every. I used to go through those books on a regular basis.
those and Cinefex magazine were essentials
I know exactly the bit you mean, and same
got it from @badsquiddogames.bsky.social last Xmas!
It's fantastic. And massive.😁
It was also IIRC one of several Disney Films that scared kids on release and led to the creation of Touchstone Pictures. And yes, Dragonslayer is an awesome film.
Peter MacNicol is quite scary.
Was the Black Cauldron one of the others? Always liked that one.
ohhhhh but *such* a waste of the source novel(s)
Yes, along with Something Wicked This Was Comes, all three are great films.
Something wicked was a great book…
Sigh, "This way comes......" Stupid tired idiot.....
