There was only a couple of months in Obama's first term where that would have been possible. But sure.

They had 2 years under Obama. Trump has done more evil in just 7 months.

Obama had an actual, in Senate Super Majority for, like, six months of his first term. Republicans held open Al Franken's seat for months and Ted Kennedy died, denying the 60 votes. If you want to blame someone for the lack of progress, blame Republicans, they're the ones who tried to stop it.

We should have threatened, browbeaten, litigated, and intimidated the republicans into submission, like what they are doing to us now.

How do you think that would have worked? Republicans filibustered the Affordable Care Act then went on to win the biggest electoral victory in their party's history, American voters loved Republicans for filibustering the ACA.
