I don’t want John Cornyn to step down because Paxton is challenging him. Which could be much worse for Texas…. But then again, maybe no one would vote for Paxton. His soon to be ex wife probably won’t.

I live in Texas. At this point, there is virtually no discernible difference between Ken Paxton and John Cornyn. They will both do whatever Trump wants them to do. So honestly I'd rather have Paxton win to force the "regular" GOP voters that still hide behind this fig leaf of "moderate" to choose

I was thinking Cornyn bc at least he’s (almost) benign in his sycophancy. Paxton will deliberately seek out more and more ways to hurt POC, women, poor folks. Of course, it will get him out of TX where his impact will be lessened somewhat. But a horrible choice all around.

At one time Cornyn was a somewhat reasonable Republican, Paxton has always been out there. He’s proven that he is willing to lie, cheat and steal, to win, in order to stay out of prison.
