Because there were a series of court orders sealing the documents due to their relevance in several court cases. They don't release evidence in ongoing court cases because it could taint the jury pool. Geeze, do you not know ANYTHING?

No, he didn't. A president doesn't have the authority to defy a court order. In fact, doing so is illegal.
