No doubt, but he provided a big platform for it and appealed to a lot of Gen X-Gen Z males. He knows he carries this demographic and has chosen to provide more right wing content on that platform over the last 8 years.

100%! I don't think it's a new pattern--it's that there is easier access to platforms that exist to amplify & stoke their grievances. At heart they are such a group of underdeveloped, narcissistic baby-men.
