I get that highlighting that 75% of the men sent to El Salvador have no criminal record can be used to highlight that the idea he is targeting criminals is bullshit HOWEVER doing that to criminals is still illegal & wrong so you need to be careful with that framing and I worry a lot of people aren’t
Someone could be a cannibalistic serial killer and they still deserve due process and not to be sent to a torture camp and I need people to understand that and quickly because they are going to try convince us (citizens) that there is a right way or right person to do this to and there is not
It's the same point I was trying to make during the George Floyd protests that cops shouldn't be shooting guilty people, either.
