Their job is to help serve their country, is it not?

picking up trash because a wannabe dictator is complaining about crime is not their fucking job! They have actual civilian jobs that under federal law their employers cant replace them in their absence for so they can do this!

The job is to defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. I really cannot see how picking up garbage in any way shape or form fulfills that oath.

As someone else already mentioned, broken windows theory.

I have not seen that, and cannot find it, and I have no idea what broken windows Theory refers to. Would you care to elaborate so I can be educated?

Hate to break it to you... but picking up litter is pretty routine in the day of a soldier's life.
