i dont know about the current gen, but when i was a kid this would of just incentivized me to pirate content. which comes with its own set of risks.

The UK law is terrible enough but this has to be the shittiest possible way to engage in compliance with it - and Steam shouldn't be complying, they ought to be using their position to advocate for change and to push back.
