Remember tariffs? Like, Americans pay for them.

Don't understand your point or its relevance. My point was just that many European cars would be far more desirable to folks like myself who wanted something that isn't modeled after a cosplay tank. Currently, many of them aren't allowed to be sold here, largely to protect the US auto industry.
I just want another station wagon, not some small suv.
Maybe a used Subaru or Volvo would work for you?
Subaru hasn’t sold non-Outback wagons in the US since like 2003. So, they’re out. And since Volvo got bought by the Chinese around 2009, their quality has fallen off. We’ve got a 2014 and 2015 VWs, but they’re not gonna last forever. VW stopped selling wagons in the IS 2021 or so.
100% - I will trade Europe's safety if I can import a nice station wagon. Last time I was there, my wife got tired of me pointing out all the wagons like I was pointing out nice sports cars.
Same thing the last time I was in Japan.
I love my Volvo 2009 C30. Sadly, these compact, sporty, agile hatchbacks with reasonable cargo space were discontinued in 2013.
