If i drop the leash on my lab she treats it like a starters pistol. She’s gone

If I lay my Golden's leash on her back when she's working she lays down and stays until released or called. But if she's not working she's rolling in everything that is sticky and stinks.

Yes, i had an English Cream retriever. She was fantastic but would find the nearest deer poop to roll in. Worst was the day she rolled in a decaying salmon

Salmon would be bad. Mine found the only slime mold I've ever seen when we lived in Oregon. And many many crabs in various stages of decomposition at the beach.
