I don’t think it’s that it would necessarily be worse, just more of the same. The folks behind Project 2025 are really the ones in charge, and even if Trump were gone that would continue. Might be a tad faster given Vance is Thiel’s protege, but the threat remains the same.

Came here to say this. Vance does t command the maga masses and lack charisma and credibility. Theil can pull his strings but a lot of R’s would finally be able to break, and the infighting power struggles would hinder him as well. IMO

Can I rant? I’ve been personally begging my husband to leave the country. We’re at the end of our childbearing years & I’m holding everyone hostage of having their 1st grandchild. I will not rear a child without safety & security. My child will not exist without proper culture & community.

It’s apparent now that this country never cared for us. We are all merely pawns of a murderous, cruel machine. There will never be security here. For 2 months now I’ve been preparing him with the thought of me physically leaving him for safety.

I even have to force us to talk about the happenings of today so we are both on the same page. He’s the only person in his family willing to talk about anything concerning politics. He said he’s waiting for the results of the midterms. I last told him don’t be so naïve.

He told me to look around & be fortunate. I told him that I am proud & fortunate, but this house pairs no comparisons to the COUNTRIES that have fallen against our foes. I said, if we even have the midterms you know they’re not going to be fair.
