I don’t think you understand the difference between the DNC, the DCCC, the DSCC and state and local parties. “The DNC” is not going to be working to get the mayor of NYC elected. I live in NYC, I’ve called her office 3 days in a row saying her bigotry was unacceptable and she should resign. Today I primarily called about the budget bill, and added the ‘please resign’ bit at the end to round out the call. Most of her support is upstate conservative Dems, I’ve never liked her.
