BNP PARIBAS: ".. we don’t believe our estimates of 90k for US payrolls and 4.2% for the unemployment rate would prevent the Fed from cutting rates in September. ..We expect a further decline to 50k in 2026 on account of slower labor supply growth .." #NFP

If companies can’t sell their goods because of tariffs (too expensive to eat the cost and too expensive for consumers), how does an interest rate cut help with sluggish or static employment? Am I hiring people to sit around and do nothing? I genuinely don’t get it, but be kind, was English major.

I think it's funny that everybody has forgotten when Powell performed a minor miracle raising rates and squashing inflation and runaway housing markets without causing a recession. Trump was on the record criticizing his every move during this process. Powell has far more credibility here.

Here in Ohio, another 5 grocery stores announced closures. 1000 people lost their jobs yesterday. Beef prices are skyrocketing. Sure, lower interest rates, you fucktards.
