That's concerning! This is the thing, the QAnon stuff is obviously crazy, so a lot of people dismiss it. But the people in the cult believe it. They think they're on the side of Good. They are highly motivated and detached from reality. There's the potential for a lot of chaos ahead.

I don't often dip my toe in the River Styx of the deep cult, but recent noise has been extreme. Multiple groups coalescing around end-of-days, each with its own belief about being the only ones "saved/safe", and the rest of humanity unredeemable. "Truehuman", "Chosen", etc. Celebrating catastrophe.

It all seems to be building to a crescendo. I try to keep half a finger on the pulse of these groups - not because I think there's any truth to the conspiracies, but because I recognise how they can be weaponised by those seeking to make mischief. Craziness is in the ascendant.
