Looked it up. Even if not born in US, Cruz was elible for 2016 presidential run because he was born to an American mother, even if he wasn't actually born in US. GOP really like to bend the rules to their liking, don't they?

That is Cruz claim but it is false. He has no other documentation to prove US citizenship. There is no law making him a citizen thru his mother. He has no naturalization papers. As a naturalized citizens he would not be eligible for presidency. As a foreign born person he could be deported by ICE.

Cruz was allowed to run to be GOP's presidential candidate, because it was considered that being born from a "Merican" mother (in Calgary!) made him "born in the USA". No joke. Musk as Canadian citizenship because is mom was Canadian. Super-women carry soil of their native country in their uterus.
