You don't think it is gold leaf or something like that? Super thin coating of real gold. Wouldn't be that expensive and would at least look correct.

Nah. Very tasteless people can buy those ornaments in every hardware store. Judging from the lossy photos, the gold looks off. Too yellowish but not reflective enough. Plasticky. It's a show for MAGA. They are likely spray painting the same ornaments in their trailers and feeling like kings.
