And if they won't shoot and simply let the federal officers take the ballot boxes then even if the courts eventually side with the states you have a custody issue where the federal government had the ballots and could have done who knows what with them Do you redo the election? Will be a total mess

This isn't nonsense. I hope people like governor Pritzker are wrong but we can't afford to assume that wildly unconstitutional things are impossible. The governor argued that the president's gambit may be part of a plan to "stop the elections in 2026 or, frankly, take control of those elections."
