A reminder that Elissa Slotkin: 1) Couldn't draw crowds & needed to appear with Kamala Harris to do that. 2) Received fewer votes than Kamala Harris dd 3) Is only Senator because, unlike Kamala Harris, she was't running against Trump. But somehow she's become the expert on defeating Trump.

Bernie won the Michigan primary against Hillary in '16 and then Trump won the general. Sure, Hillary has her big negatives and detractors but the idea that the answer is always milquetoast centrism seems more of a desire from the pundits than the voters revealed preferences.
