As an American politics scholar, I want to once again let everyone know that Tom Nichols is not an American politics scholar even though he often plays one on TV. Bork as the Rosetta stone of Republican opposition doesn't make any sense given that Ginsburg was confirmed 96-3 shortly afterward.

There is every reason that Dems should vote against giving a SCOTUS seat to a conservative. This is a f-ing lifetime seat - why would you give it to someone who is going to veto progressive legislation? My complaint is not about Bork - it is about Dems voting for Scalia. Disgraceful.
