Unable to be passed because of the senate made-up rule of needing 60 votes to do anything because of the filibuster. Which the GOP usually ignores. And even if passed, the Supreme Court would overturn any legislation, because SCOTUS has been majority-conservative since 1969.

Democrats had a 60-seat supermajority in 2009–10. If gun control was a priority, they could’ve acted—they didn’t. Blaming the filibuster is lazy. And no, SCOTUS wouldn’t “overturn everything.” Heller upheld the 2A while allowing regulations. Stop rewriting history.

Edward Kennedy had a brain tumor and Robert Byrd was in the hospital most of the time. They had 58 potential votes, mostly. That's not rewriting history. That's accurately telling history. It took until late December to get the 60 votes to pass Obamacare. And a lot of wrangling.

Another school shooting another reminder of past and present pain in our hearts and most of all our children’s minds. Our children shouldn’t have to deal with school shooters or pedophiles like the Epstein files. Time to rise up and take our country back. The children are the future.
